I have been a bad, bad blogger.

So much for blogging everyday! So since I have failed at that, I will try to make this post AWESOME!
But I won't bore you with the details of my day and or life. I had a delightful time at my key club convention, and the taylor swift concert exceeded my expectations and then some. what i am trying to say is...i loved it. haha.

Daily obsessions. Let's go.

Okay so recently I have really been into the Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 collection...I am a little late I realize, but never the less, it is great. I especially love the tie-dyes.

Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 Ready-to-Wear
I would just wear this collection everyday if I could. Like fo real. It is just super laid back and surfery. And yet futuristic. An astronaut surfer perhaps?

But seeing as how I can't afford Proenza Schouler I have had to resort to other forms of astronaut surfing. So instead...I shop at target...and what do I find? COOL TIE-DYES! Anyway I am still figuring out something to where with this cool shirt I bought. Sadly they don't sell neoprene skirts there! Hahaha. In my dreams....

2nd obsession....

The glee audition videos. Not only mine...which you should vote for by the way (http://www.myspace.com/gleeauditions?link=531993727)
But like there are just a lot of people out there who make me laugh! And impress me! Alot of my sister's friends have made some great vids. Anyway...it should be interesting to see what comes of this whole audition search! I don't think it means anything at all, but it was fun to make a video! And people like it! I have 18,274 gold stars! Hollah!

Alright. Well this post wasn't super awesome. My apologies. I am a little pooped. And I have to take a practice ACT tomorrow. WAH WAH WAH. Send me good vibes!

just throw it in the bag.

So I would just like to say that today was like one of the best days I have had in a while. I had not 1, not 2, but 3 subs today. So pretty much that means that I had no work. Which means that I went to peet's and had a delicious and large jasmine lime tea cooler. And went shopping at Crossroads, where I got these amazingly cute brown boots for $14. And they are practically brand new. And then had the most amazing time just lying on the grass in the park next to school with one of my besties Emma T-G. Just all in all a very good day. And I am only going to 2nd period tomorrow! And it is for a photoshoot for the poster and program for my Afro-Haitian show. Brilliant.

Daily Obsessions start....NOW!

Numero uno. Yogurtland.
http://laurensolomon.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/yogurtland1.jpg
I mean it isn't just an obsession for a day...but more a lifetime. But I went after school today with Simone, nothing out of the ordinary, but I got the most yogurt I have ever gotten and hella delicious toppings, and guess what? IT WAS ONLY $4.02! I died. The guy at the register didn't appreciate my enthusiasm for what was the most delicious frozen treat to ever grace the planet, but I was so happy, I didn't care! But lucky for me, Simone is crazy about Yogurtland too!

My second obsession isn't so much an obsession as something that happened to me today that just needs further explaining than I will allow myself to type in the general information portion of this blog.
http://www.pynkcelebrity.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/taylor_swift2_nomakeup.jpg
For those of you who live in a cave. The lovely lady above is Taylor Swift. Who I happen to be seeing on Sunday. And before you yell "HOLD IT! Don't you hate her?" as my friend just did, I shall explain. You see, Emma T-G got tickets months ago right before I told her I wanted to go with her and two of my other good friends. And I was all distraught and wah wah. Cause you can't deny it. T-Swift is a cutie. But this is when I feel head over heels in love with my good friend Gaga. As in the Lady of. And just because I hate that T-Swift all those shiny gold phonographs that people call Grammys, doesn't mean that I hate her. It just means that I love Lady Gaga more. So in conclusion....I am going to her concert, and am happy about it. But I am sad that I am not going to Gaga, because sadly...I do not have 175 to spend on her, even though I would buy her the world if I could. Figurative money is way cooler than the real stuff.

For my sister...who is the only real reader of this blog, I will not be posting until monday or so, because I shall be busy with Key Club happenings and all that jazz. So I hope you can bear to be without me for a few days! Peace.

all the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray.

Hello there. I have decided that today's blog will be short, as not much happened today, and I can't think of many things to obsess over.

School was the usual, although I stayed on campus til 6 cleaning up choreography for the spring musical. Lame...but good. Oh! And I got two nice "business" like shirts for Key Club Convention. I am not cool enough to wear beautiful classic Chloe or Oscar de la Renta...so shirts from H&M will have to do.

But....daily obsessions.

So pretty much I loved the entire Oscar de la Renta Spring 2010 collection...but the hats were my favorite. Especially this purple one. They are just super wearable! And very old hollywood in a way. Anyway...I want one. Cause they rock.

Another obsession....Sara Ramirez on an SVU from 2002 entitled "Chameleon". I am currently watching it and all I can say is....WOW! She makes a great fake hooker! And now she plays a lesbian doctor on Grey's Anatomy. TV loves her! I just want to see her back on broadway...slash like come out with a CD or something so people realize how talented she is!

Anyway...that is it for tonight. I am off to finish my Easter candy!

liar liar pants on fire!

So I said that I was done blogging for the night...and this is not entirely true. Just have one more thing to share before I forget about it...which is hard to do to say the least.

Basically Simone (one of my besties) got me a delicious postcard while in Las Vegas for spring break. Simone said that she got it for me because the woman is very dramatic, like me. I almost made it my facebook profile pic, but decided against it for multiple reasons. But I came pretty close! The best part is the pineapple in her crotch in my opinion. Or the wig. It is just great. Good job Simone!

Enjoy!

¡blogging es muy divertida!

Hey! This thing might actually be working! It is day two and I am still here in the blogosphere!
Today wasn't too exciting so I can't think of anything that would interest my audience members, and when I say audience members, I mean my sister! Hi Mads! She thinks I am copying her blog....but I am not! Promise! I love you! And I just want to be cool like you!
But back to my day! I went to school (blah) and got assigned a ridiculous homework assignment in which I have to create an abstract piece of art that reflects the growth of the characters in the movie "As Good As It Gets". You know...the movie where Jack Nicholson scores with a girl half his age played by Helen Hunt? Ring any bells? Well anyway...slightly ridiculous. But hey! That is high school for ya!

But I spent most of the day thinking about the lovely weekend that lies ahead of me! Key Club District Convention, here I come! Basically, once a year, me and my fellow key club board members get to dust off our business attire and spend a weekend with a bunch of Asian key clubbers whose clubs could devour ours as an appetizer. It should be a good time! Although sadly, we won't get to go to Disneyland after like we did last year...alas.

But this is where I stop talking about my boring life and get back to what I made this blog for! Although...the reason that I made this blog isn't even entirely clear to me! Yeeps! Although I have decided that I am just going to have a daily obsession (or obsession) no matter what it is based on.

So here we go, daily obsession number one:
Elie Saab Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear

let's give this a shot, eh?

Blog attempt number 217....GO!
Welcome to my blog of all things musical theater, fashion, cake decorating and just about whatever else I can think of! OH and high school...LOTS of high school.

I am big on reading blogs, so I figure why not write one? I have tried before...but all of my posts seem to be too broad or just downright boring! currently my life is pretty blasé...but that means that it is the best time to start a blog! I am going to attempt to post here everyday...or every other day or just whenever I guess!

First things first...fashion. I love it. I am sort of new at the whole thing, and am mostly inspired by my mate (in my dreams) Tavi Gevinson...who at 13 is far cooler than I will ever be! But through her...a passion has been introduced that I cannot surpress!

So my fashion obsession for the day is:
IMG_8967
Quite possibly THE most beautiful shoes in the world! Miu Miu Spring 2010. I can only dream of owning them, but thanks to the internet, I can look at them everyday! And the great thing about them is that they come in bird varieties too!

Now for my musical theater obsession of the day:
2 different versions...yes I said 2 versions, of "And I Am Telling You" from Dreamgirls.

Version 1:

quite possibly the best audition video for anything...and the fact that it is for the Biggest Loser makes it even better! And his lyrics are sooo original! And they are all about losing weight. Fierce. And the NBC bit just KILLS me!

Version 2:

And this is quite possibly the whitest thing I have seen. Also the best part of this is that she is behind the music for almost the entire song. And that she changes the lyrics. I guess the original lyrics were too black for the audience of miss america 1994. Oh and the last note. She is all alto-y and belting and then BAM! HEAD VOICE! All in all...I love it.

Well I hope that this blog was enough to get at least one person reading! Night!
